Lost & Lonely Scooter Club

14th FEB - Updates for the 2024 season are now beginning to take place and can be found on the latest news page.

ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Lost and Lonely Scooter Club is based in the Isle of Axholme, the area of North Lincolnshire to the West of the River Trent, between the towns of Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and Doncaster.

We are an informal club consisting of both male and female, Lambretta, Vespa, Royal Alloy & all scooter types owners.

CLUB MEETINGS

Meetings are now to be held at the Ingleby Arms in Amcotts. We meet at 7.15pm, for 7.30pm start in the winter, and 8.00pm start in Summer. The first Tuesday of every month.

HISTORY OF THE CLUB

The club was formed on the 7th of July 2007 when a chance meeting outside a Skegness pub brought together a number of old school friends and acquaintances from the "Isle", with a shared interest in scootering going back to the mid 70s. The Isle of Axholme`s Lost and Lonely scooter club started out with just five members:

Trevor Webster, the late Steve Burdette, Paul Young, Phil Palmer and Dean Baines.

We now have over 70 members, and growing - not a bad turnout for a few scattered villages (and adopted Scunthonians) from North Lincolnshire!

As for "Lost & Lonely", sorry, but there`s no real story behind the name! just something Steve came up with out of the blue.... and it stuck!

We arrange attendance to regional and national rallies / events when we hold our club meetings.  We also organise our own charity and social events.

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME...
